College Tour 2016

Bright and early on the morning of Monday, June 13, forty-six Loyola students and four chaperones departed for five days on the road exploring colleges and universities of the Middle Atlantic states. All told, the group visited twelve campuses while traveling through six states and the District of Columbia. From Lafayette College at the northernmost point to Georgetown on the banks of the Potomac, the tour comprised suburban and urban private, secular, and public institutions with campus populations ranging from 2500 to 18,000. Moreover, the tour’s participants were able to experience schools with admissions requirements in the mid-range to some of the country’s most highly selective colleges.

“The tour was exactly what I needed to set my academic goals for the years ahead,” remarked one rising junior, “I will return to Loyola in September with sharper focus and renewed energy. I am now excited about the college process and no longer intimidated by it!”

A special ‘thank you’ to the students and chaperones who made this year’s college tour a truly memorable one!
